Interesting Amethyst Diamond Ring

At first the ring head is dominated by an oval shaped, intensely purple shining amethyst. The stone is again framed by a single row of diamonds.

The amethyst is set in a solid mounting that resembles a calyx.

This mounting kind of flows seamlessly into the equally massive ring shank which swings upwards again around the finger and ends parallel to the ring head. At this point, the shank is set with eight brilliant-cut diamonds.

So this is a very refined design, because the ring shank is not completely closed.
