Terrific Blue Topaz Diamond Ring

At first the ring head is dominated by an intense sky blue (swiss blue), oval shaped blue topaz. The stone is again framed by a single row of diamonds.

The blue topaz is set in a solid mounting that resembles a calyx.

This mounting kind of flows seamlessly into the equally massive ring shank which swings upwards again around the finger and ends parallel to the ring head. At this point, the shank is set with four brilliant-cut diamonds.

So this is a very refined design, because the ring shank is not completely closed.
